This Cookie Policy explains how Zentrum24, LLC ("Zentrum24", "we") uses cookies on zentrum24.com (the "Site"). It covers the Site only. For how we handle personal data more generally, please see our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device (computer, tablet or phone) when you visit it. They let the site remember something about your visit — for example, a setting you chose. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called "first-party" cookies; cookies set by other companies are "third-party" cookies. The Site uses one first-party cookie and no third-party cookies.
2. The single cookie we use
The Site is offered in English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese. When you pick a language with the language switcher, we store your choice in one functional cookie so the Site can show you the right language on your next visit:

This cookie is set only if you actively use the language switcher. It contains a language code (for example "de"), nothing else, and is not used to identify or track you.
3. What we do not use — and why there is no cookie banner
The Site uses no analytics, advertising, tracking or social-media cookies, no tracking pixels, and no third-party embeds (our videos and fonts are self-hosted). Because our only cookie is strictly necessary to provide a feature you expressly request (your language choice), it is exempt from consent requirements under EU/UK ePrivacy rules, including § 25(2) of the German TDDDG (formerly TTDSG). That is why the Site does not show a cookie consent banner: there is simply nothing to consent to.
4. How to control cookies
You can manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser. Every major browser lets you:
- view the cookies stored on your device and delete some or all of them;
- block cookies from specific sites or from all sites;
- clear cookies automatically when you close the browser.
Look for these options under "Settings" and then "Privacy" (or similar) in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and other browsers. If you delete or block the NEXT_LOCALE cookie, the Site will still work; it will just no longer remember your language choice between visits.
5. Zentrum24 platforms
The Site links to separate Zentrum24 platforms — SterileAtlas, ComplyWise, ProveWise, Zentrum24 Academy and ConsultWise. Each platform is its own service with its own cookie policy and privacy policy, which apply when you use that platform. This Cookie Policy does not cover them.
